For those of you who qualify for extra credit through regular and on-time attendance (see syllabus), there are several ways through which you can earn extra credit. Note that extra credit is capped at 5% of your overall grade - from all sources combined.

 

Attend the department's Undergraduate Research Symposium and submit the related form (for fall classes). Attend SUU's Festival of Excellence and submit the related form (for spring classes). Each presentation will add 1% to your overall grade in the class - assuming you follow the instructions.

Use the Health Belief Model to address reasons why college students are ignoring pleas to socially isolate to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (as evidenced by photographs showing students on Florida's beaches during spring break). Using this model, what might we do to encourage behavioral change? Quality and quantity will determine whether you get 1,2,3,4,or 5% extra credit for this activity.
